The Choosatron Kickstarter ran through August of 2014. The goal was to achieve $22k in funding, but instead it got a whopping $75,080, well over 300% of initial hopes! This allowed a shift from the Arduino based hardware design to the powerful Spark Core, providing not just a much more advanced micro-controller, but wireless capabilities that could take the functionality, and education potential, to the next level.
The additional support also motivated the decision to create a new writing platform from scratch using modern languages and tools. Although there are options for writing interactive fiction, all have significant drawbacks, and most are difficult for kids to use, and they are an important part of the Choosatron mission.Visit site
